Unsyted Radio

Our first interview is with Chad Bouton of ‘Unsyted Radio’, a podcast dedicated to covering all topics relating to creating a more diverse and inclusive world.

Chad is a driven advocate of Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and its effects and impacts on those who are born with RP. His goal is to provide an environment, through raising awareness, where those with progressive disabilities like RP can continue to enjoy the things they love.

Pretorian Technologies

Our second interview is with Pretorian Technologies!

Pretorian are the brains behind the assistive technology greats such as the n-Abler joystick, the Smoothie switches and the Quester series. They have over 40 years experience in designing and manufacturing the very technology we will have at the Gaming Zone!

It was a pleasure getting to speak to the team and learning about the history of the company and how assistive technology has evolved over the years. We also got to have a look at how they manufacture these incredible devices!

Rehadapt

For our third interview in our Disability Expo series, we spoke to Robert Kohls from Rehadapt!

Rehadapt create high-quality mounting solutions that enable people with a wide range of abilities to access technology, as well as gaming systems, in a comfortable way in all types of environments.

We discussed everything from Robert’s beginning at Rehadapt and the first prototypes of the Rehadapt kit to the process of getting a mounting system that is individual to the customer and their needs.

TheCaringLlama

For our fourth interview, we got to speak to the lovely Melody Powell aka TheCaringLlama!

Melody is a professional advocate for Diversity, Inclusion and Representation, as well as an online content creator. She streams a variety of games and through their streams, they have created a safe space for queer, disabled people to hang out!

We spoke about Melody’s experiences, both in life and in streaming, becoming a streamer and the impact of accessibility.

The Wobbly Gamer

For our fifth interview, we spoke to the awesome Mat aka The Wobbly Gamer!

Mat is a visually impaired streamer, content creator and accessibility consultant. When Mat isn’t smashing it at Fifa, he is offering feedback about accessibility to some of the largest game developers, pre and post launch, to help promote diversity and inclusion of all.

When we sat down with Mat, we discussed his story of becoming a full-time content creator and consultant, as well as, his own experiences through his life.

Ceratech Accuratus

Our sixth interview for our Disability Expo series is with the one and only Korben and David from Ceratech Accuratus!

Ceratech are the creators behind the likes of the Monster 2 keyboards, the matching keyguards and the awesome coloured Image mice. They have also branched out into making eco-friendly products such as wheatgrass keyboards, mice and headphones!

When we spoke to Korben and David, we discussed everything from their beginnings at Ceratech Accuratus to the process of creating the technology. They even had some of the tech to hand to show us!
